This is a CASE elongated toilet seat. This seat is designed specifically for CASE toilets. CASE toilet seats bolt into the tank of various CASE models. CASE toilet seat bolts are on 7" centers...bolt to bolt. Nearly all other brands vintage to modern are 5.5" centers bolt to bolt. There are a few exceptions to the 5.5" bolt pattern...typically specialty toilets made in through the 60s through the 80s mostly American Standard and Kohler and those specialty toilet seats ceased production 20-30 years ago. (no longer avail). CASE ceased production of its toilet seats many years ago, as mentioned in the title of this offering..... this seat is from the 1950-60s. The acrylic on this seat is new and the hardware is vintage. This was found at a retired plumbers estate sale a few years ago. I would speculate that someone bought a new CASE seat and transferred the brass hardware from an old seat to this new seat. BTW... The hinge is designed/installed so it could easily be removed and re-plated chrome if the brass finish does not work with your existing chrome. I took many close-ups and as you can see there is no wear on the bumpers. A few chips here and there....one screw will not tighten into the acrylic (last photo and the screw closest to the viewer)...some sort of epoxy could solve this. Last three photos illustrate Case toilet styles.
